Tuff of Wooden Shoe Butte (lower member). This location is in
Rock Creek canyon at Steer Basin campground. Numbered units are 1- unnamed airfall tuff, 2 - palaeosol, 3 - tuff of Wooden Shoe (3a - airfall and ground surge unit, 3b - densely welding (vitrophyric) tuff, moderately welded tuff, least welded and zone of degassing strutures and secondary hydrothermal alteraion. |
