I am Dr Malcolm Buck, and the content of this website
is a product of my many years experience as a Geologist (volcanologist) and the exploits I have experienced. Please peruse the site and image gallery and I hope that you will learn something about geology from this site, as well as being impressed by the way the Earth presents itself in different parts of the world.
Regretably, geology is a fading science in the present world as today's students appear to shun the subjects that are not law, medicine, commerce, or IT science and as such geologists are in short supply world wide. Go to seek.com.au now and type in geologist and there will be up to 500 vacant jobs listed. If you are not a geologist yourself, then perhaps you could talk your children, or anyone else in your family or circle of friends to study geology as they will graduate to a now very well paid, rewarding career.
This website will continue to grow as I add photo to my galleries after my scanning of the thousands of colour slides I have. Photoshop has been very busy!! Keep in touch!
